Embalming Service in Delhi: Why and how it’s done

an embalmer in Delhi

Embalming service becomes necessary when the dead body is transported from one country or state to another & there is at least a one week window between the receiving date & death ceremony of the body.
If the person died suffered a communicable disease embalming protects the passengers on the train or plane from the germs.
The embalming service in Delhi offers two main procedures - arterial and cavity.
In the arterial method the blood is replaced with the embalming fluids while the abdomen and chest are drained and filled in the cavity method.
The dead body is prepared by washing, massaging and finally closing the mouth and eyes.
Arterial embalming
The incision is done in the body to remove the blood from the veins. The embalming fluid is introduced into the body through the arteries.
Cavity embalming
The naturally occurring fluid inside the chest and abdomen is drained by a small incision. The fluid is replaced by a mixture of methanol, formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, ethanol, phenol, and water.
Once the embalmer completes the above process the dead body is enhanced cosmetically. It involves re-washing, dressing, combing hair & applying make-up to face.
If the body is not embalmed it will begin to decompose within a few days. A common alternative to embalming service is refrigerating, but it solves the problem only when the funeral ceremony is after a shorter duration.
